In Say That Again! Kriss Jarecki has done the EMDR world a great service! She dives deeply into her years of experience and organizes her clinical understanding and wisdom in a way that guides the seasoned, as well as the new, EMDR clinician and makes the material highly accessible through her charming and consistent use of metaphor and analogies. It’s like taking an EMDR journey with a guide who makes every aspect of EMDR, from first contact to the end of the journey, thoroughly clear and clearly thorough. No stone is left unturned, all the while stressing the primary importance of the therapeutic attachment. Although experienced EMDR clinicians will learn from these very readable pages, I see Kriss’s offering as a must read for newly trained clinicians, and it has my vote for a perfect companion to Francine Shapiro’s book in the EMDR basic training. Well done!

Kriss Jarecki’s book provides a wealth of practical tools for trauma-informed care, makes it easy to absorb new information, and offers new ways to use old tools for screening, educating, and treating clients. Say That Again! is filled with evidence-based research explained in a manner that is digestible and practical. While there is an abundance of great information for newly trained therapists, there are also inspiring new analogies for experienced therapists, refreshing our outlook and energizing our approach! This is a great resource.

Kriss Jarecki’s Say That Again! is an entertaining, easy-to-read, comprehensive, and extremely helpful guide to being with, talking with, supporting, and using EMDR with psychotherapy clients. She hits all the therapy issues, from intakes to the final sessions, working with the therapeutic relationship, attachment, trauma, and boosting EMDR with great interweaves. I strongly recommend this book!

Therapists of many theoretical backgrounds will gain much from Kriss Jarecki’s impressive new book, Say That Again! Particularly valuable is her section on client preparation, not focused on mechanics, but on developing comfort and trust in a well-grounded and prepared therapist. This is frequently ignored, to the detriment of the therapy relationship. Kriss has done her research and will enlighten therapists about working successfully with dissociation and complex trauma. EMDR therapists, read this book and you too will be well prepared to guide your clients through their therapeutic journey.
